TZADE/TZADDIצ

137-144

137You are righteous, LORD, and your laws are right. 138The statutes you have laid down are righteous; they are fully trustworthy. 139My zeal wears me out, for my enemies ignore your words. 140Your promises have been thoroughly tested, and your servant loves them. 141Though I am lowly and despised, I do not forget your precepts. 142Your righteousness is everlasting and your law is true. 143Trouble and distress have come upon me, but y our commands give me delight. 144Your statutes are always righteous; give me understanding that I may live. (NIV)

PRAYER: Heavenly Father, Lord of all, You alone are righteous; and it follows that the wisdom of your laws are also righteous. Yes, the laws you have given are not only righteous, they are faithful and true. Even when I am hunted and ensnared like an animal, suffering man’s injustice, I remember your word and wait for it to be fulfilled.

More than my own suffering, I am jealous for your Name. Grief and indignation overwhelms me at my enemies’ violation (and neglect) of your law. I am horrified at their treason, grieving your heart. Their end is death. Yet amid corruption on every side of me, your word stands pure and incorruptible. Your word is more valuable to me than fine gold. Therefore I bow before Your faultless counsel with great reverence.

I have no honor before men and do not seek it. I am ridiculed, misunderstood, and sidelined, yet I cling all the closer to You, whatever the circumstances (John 6:26).  I do not forget your law! In fact,  in my afflictions I find great comfort with this testified truth: your righteousness is forever. The entirety of your law is the only stronghold in the midst of turbulence. No other alternatives hold.

I am truly in anguish, in trouble, and weighted in grief. I carry my troubles to you alone and speak them in your presence. Yet though I am brought low, your promises and commands still give sweetness to my soul; they comfort me.

Your testimonies never fail, yet I must carry them out.  Teach me to understand, LORD, so that I may obey and live!

TSADHE – 137 Righteous art thou, O LORD, and upright are thy judgments. 138The testimonies that thou hast commanded are righteousness and very faithful.  139My zeal hath consumed me, because my enemies have forgotten your words. 140Thy word is very pure: therefore thy servant loveth it. 141I am small and despised, yet do I not forget thy precepts. 142 Thy righteousness is an everlasting righteousness, and thy law is the truth. 143Trouble and anguish have taken hold on me, yet thy commandments are my delights. 144 The   righteousness of thy testimonies is everlasting; give me understanding, and I shall live. (KJV)

TSADHE – 137You are righteous, O LORD, and right are your rules. 138You have appointed your testimonies in righteousness and in all faithfulness. 139My zeal consumes me, because my foes forget your words. 140Your promise is well tried, and your servant loves it. 141I am small and despised, yet I do not forget your precepts. 142Your righteousness is righteous forever, and your law is true. 143Trouble and anguish have found me out, but your commandments are my delight. 144Your testimonies are righteous forever; give me understanding that I may live. 137 TZADDI.

141 Pequeño soy yo y desechado; Mas no me he olvidado de tus mandamientos.

142 Tu justicia es justicia eterna, Y tu ley la verdad.

143 Aflicción y angustia me hallaron: Mas tus mandamientos fueron mis deleites.

144 Justicia eterna son tus testimonios; Dame entendimiento, y viviré. (RVR)
