While penning a poem on “Mem,” I briefly lifted my eyes from my desk to the large window. There burnished treetops seemed to brush against growing grey-bottomed and cottony, cumulus clouds. Blue skies smiled happily from behind the more wispy, sunlit clouds.
Returning to my writing, safe in the enclosed cocoon of my library, I glimpsed back to find the Master’s canvas completely changed: the grey-bottomed monster had crept slowly over my abode, shading the sun, yet releasing no rain. My patch of blue was threaded with pulled wads of the sterile stuff, the azure patches growing, and throwing varying colors of sunlight and shade upon my autumn treetop view. I thought of Mr. Beaver’s “Aslan’s on the move!” in C.S. Lewis’s Chronicles of Narnia.
God is always moving — faithful in His working, gentle as a slow-moving behemoth of a cloud, mighty as a mighty miracle of prayer for our nation — and all to show us that HE IS, and that He does all that He says He will do.
Yes. Change is always around us.
And so, too, change is happening for this website in small, hopefully improved ways.
- New! Library – First, you may note that the navigation has changed a wee bit. I consolidated our “Gallery” of images and the “Hall of Witnesses” pages together and have added a third (see #3 below). These can still be found on the tab marked Library.
- Updated! Resources.– I have checked and updated all links and added two new resources for memorizing scripture: Andrew M. Davis’s How to Memorize Scripture for Life (book) and Scripture Memory Fellowship’s VerseLocker App. Head over there to learn more about these very practical and inspiring and effective tools!
- A new page of Christian poetry, From the Poet’s Pen, has been created. The aim of this page is to feature a Christian poem a week, curated by me and penned by great poets of the past and present, both famous and the not so famous. Poems previously featured on this page will be archived briefly below the featured poem before being archived on a cumulative page. ** CURRENTLY FEATURED: “Weariness” by Tim Cripps, Isle of Wight, UK..** This is a beautiful poem of relying on the Lord’s faithfulness during the most difficult times of caregiving and finding God’s grace sufficient and more.
- I am currently in the process of revamping the look of our Memorization pages to isolate all memorization helps for each octrain of Psalm 119 onto its own web page along with its associated Hebrew letter and letter name (Aleph, Beth, etc.). Bear with me as I get the new replacement page ready for the exchange.
- Along with a fresh look on our Memorization page, I have uploaded Psalm 119 Initials Posters in the New International Version (NIV) for each octrain as a further memorziation help. These will be ready for your FREE downloading and printing with the new Memorization page. I will be creating a set in the ESV as well, as well as adding ESV Audio Readalong files. I have not forgotten other Bible versions and will continue to offer the most requested ones for all memorization aids.
- Also on the navigation bar is a new and easier opportunity for you to comment or drop me a line at our CONTACT page. I would love to hear from you! If you have a “wish list” of memorization resources or desired translations, or you would like to share a prayer request, a poem request, or to let us know that you are also taking the Memorization Challenge, or just to let me know about your own website or blog, head over and write me all about it!
THANK YOU!
Thank you, my 54 long-time and new subscribers! I am cheered by your presence, inspired by your own blogs and teaching, enriched by your photography and poems and stories, and grateful for your patience as I work to be a better messsenger of good.
I want to thank Carol at EasyReadEnglish.com for being my first subscriber, over six years ago back in Spring of 2018! I could have waited until May for a perfect 7 year anniversary, but I wanted to say thanks now rather than later!
Carol, you’ve been so faithful to your students and your ministry and to me. I wanted to say thank you by sending you Rico Tice and Rachel Jones’s Finding More: Real-Life Stories Worth Telling (The GoodBook Company; Christianity Explored Ministries). This easy-to-read book is a collection of stories of eleven different people who asked, “Is there something more to life?” In the authors’ words: “Consider this your invitation to sit down, hear their stories, and take a moment to look at the world through a different pair of eyes. Is there something to life? It’s time to find out.” Look for it in your mailbox!
DRAWINGS AND GOODIES!

(Note: This is a photo of my own recently used copy. You can be sure you will receive a fresh, brand new copy for yourself.)
So browse around and leave a like or comment or, if this is a site you would like to come back to, go ahead and subscribe now. I will tabulate the results on NOVEMBER 22, 2024 and will contact the winner by email, so be sure to subscribe or leave your contact information at CONTACT. The recipient will be announced on this website by First name and last initial and your city and state (link to website optional).
