97-104
97Oh, how I love your law! I meditate on it all day long. 98Your commands are always with me and make me wiser than my enemies. 99I have more insight than all my teachers, for I meditate on your statutes. 100I have more understanding than the elders, for I obey your precepts. 101I have kept my feet from every evil path so that I might obey your word. 102I have not departed from your laws, for you yourself have taught me. 103How sweet are your words to my taste, sweeter than honey to my mouth! 104I gain understanding from your precepts; therefore I hate every wrong path. (NIV)
PRAYER: Holy Father, My heart swells with appreciation as I study your law. Indeed, my mind is now filled with your word all the day long. You have tuned my senses to desire it above all else.
Therefore, as your word is continually in my mind, active to guide and advise me in all matters of life, I rise above the rage and confusion of my adversaries, since they reject your wisdom. You have blessed me with good teachers. Yet as I perform your Word and grow in maturity, I understand that it is you who have been my chief teacher all along. I have attained the wisdom normally reserved for the experienced in age, for by your Word you enable me to avoid the deceits of wickedness.
In fact, Your Word has taught me how to do battle with every evil so that I am bold against it; I have not been lured by lies nor have I stumbled in ignorance. You, my Teacher, have done this for me!
How sweet your words have become to me as I study them and keep them! Where once I dutifully kept your word, now I do so because I have tasted their sweetness and promise to my soul; they have brought life and deep understanding. That is why I see and hate every false way that would take me from You. I love thy law!

97 MEM.
(RVR)
