VAV – ו

41-48

41May your unfailing love come to me, LORD, your salvation, according to your promise; 42then I can answer anyone who taunts me, for I trust in your word. 43Never take your word of truth from my mouth, for I have put my hope in your laws. 44I will always obey your law, for ever and ever. 45I will walk about in freedom, for I have sought out your precepts. 46I will speak of your statutes before kings and will not be put to shame, 47for I delight in your commands because I love them. 48I reach out for your commands, which I love, that I may meditate on your decrees. (NIV)

PRAYER: Lord, you are full of mercy and unfailing love. Because all good comes from you and I am dependent upon your mercy, shower me with the blessings of salvation you have promised in your word—come and deliver me! Then I will be able to answer critics when I speak, because I trust in the word you have spoken. All you have said in your word is true and it will come about.

Let me never pervert the truth of your word as I speak it, or be fearful to speak your truth purely and publicly before men. Help me because, being mere man, I am weak and I fail; yet I have staked my hope in your wise judgments and your power to keep me in truth.

To this end, I fix my will toward keeping your laws, studying them continually. I will walk freely and securely in heart along paths strewn with hardship and suffering, mockery, and confusion, for your word guides me safely through. I reach out to take hold of your precepts and will not shrink in the fear of mortal man, but will speak your truth boldly before the greatest of them without shame or hesitation.

As I purposely turn my heart toward you and the diligent study of your word, joy grows in my heart. I come to love your word more and more, because it is trustworthy. Therefore, I give my hands to obey your word, Lord, for you have caused me to love it with my very life.  I will treasure your truths continually in my heart and mind; and with grateful obedience I will praise you. (Isaiah 55:10-12)

VAV – 41Let thy mercies come also unto me, O LORD, even thy salvation, according to thy word. 42So shall I have wherewith to answer him that reproacheth me; for I trust in thy word. 43And take not the word of truth utterly out of my mouth; for I have hoped in thy judgments. 44 So shall I keep thy law continually for ever and ever. 45And I will walk at liberty; for I seek thy precepts. 46I will speak of thy testimonies also before kings, and will not be ashamed.  47And I will delight myself in thy commandments, which I have loved. 48IMy hands also will I lift up unto thy commandments, which I have loved, and I will meditate in thy statutes. (KJV)

VAV – 41Let your steadfast love come to me, O LORD, your salvation according to your promise; 42then shall I have an answer for him who taunts me, for I trust in your word. 43And take not the word of truth utterly out of my mouth, for my hope is in your rules. 44I will keep your law continually, forever and ever, 45and I shall walk in a wide place, for I have sought your precepts. 46I will also speak of your testimonies before kings and shall not be put to shame, 47for I find my delight in your commandments, which I love. 48I will lift up my hands toward your commandments, which I love, and I will meditate on your statutes. 41 VAV.

47 Y deleitaréme en tus mandamientos, Que he amado.

48 Alzaré asimismo mis manos á tus mandamientos que amé; Y meditaré en tus estatutos.  (RVR)
